As
the fall approaches and we embark upon this season of transition, let's
pause to reflect how quickly we’ve moved as a ministry, a people and a
community. It is quite appropriate that Thanksgiving is upon us so we in
earnest can rejoice for the faithfulness of God. As a ministry, we’ve been
favored to touch so many lives in so many ways that we live out the Great
Commission and the Great Commandment. Let me encourage you never to tire
doing the authentic work of the Lord. Be not weary in well doing, for we
shall reap if we faint not. Our 60 years of ministry has been celebrated
weekly and our annual event was breathtaking. We’ve rejoiced over the
number of souls being saved and lives transformed through the word of God.
What are you thankful for? With our nation on the
verge of making history with a black president, families who remained
together and children who are thriving despite their environment or family
challenges, we’ve got our health and some form of income and independence,
we have each other. We’ve been given the opportunity to enlarge our life,
solve our problems and transition into new seasons of God’s favor.
Wherever you are in life today, stop today and give
thanks for “all things” you will be surprised at the weight that will lift,
the clouds which will clear, and the sun that will shine. I’m thankful for
you.
